Built around the work

Keep changing job details clear for the customer

The full scope appears on site

Fault finding can reveal different parts or labour from the original request. Revise the commercial quote without losing the earlier version.

Parts and labour must stay readable

Present the site visit, testing, replacement parts and labour as clear customer-facing line items.

Commercial and compliance records differ

Keep quotes and invoices organised without presenting them as an electrical certificate of compliance.

How Qubic helps

From customer details to payment follow-up

See the broader Qubic workflow or compare the current Starter and Launch plans.

Quote site and fault-finding work

Describe the visit, labour, parts, VAT where applicable, due dates and customer notes in a professional document.

Revise before approval

Recall or revise a quote when the inspected work changes, while earlier versions remain in document history.

Offer configured PayFast payments

A Launch business may connect its own PayFast merchant account for eligible customer payments; PayFast remains the payment provider.

Follow payment status

Use invoice status and prepared reminders to decide when a customer needs a follow-up.

Example workflow

A realistic job from first details to follow-up

  1. 01

    Record the site visit

Enter the customer, reported fault and initial assessment details.

  2. 02

    Build or revise the quote

Add testing, labour and parts after the scope is known, then check the customer document.

  3. 03

    Keep compliance separate

Share the commercial quote or invoice while issuing any required compliance certificate through the appropriate process.

  4. 04

    Set the due date

Share the invoice, offer a configured payment link where eligible and follow the recorded payment status.

You stay in control

Choose the customer details, review every document and decide when it is ready to share. Contact Picker access is permission based and begins only when you choose it.

Qubic is not accounting software

Qubic handles the customer-facing journey from quote to payment follow-up. Continue using your accountant or preferred accounting tools for bookkeeping, tax, payroll, general-ledger work and formal financial reporting.

Questions from electricians

Does Qubic issue an electrical certificate of compliance?

No. Qubic creates customer-facing quotes and invoices. It does not issue, certify or replace electrical compliance documentation.

Can an electrician revise a quote after fault finding?

Yes. A recalled or rejected quote can be revised, with the updated version shared after you review the new labour, parts and totals.

Can customers pay an electrician through PayFast?

Where the document is eligible, a Launch business can offer PayFast through its own connected merchant account. PayFast processes the payment and Qubic does not hold the customer funds.

Can Qubic track an invoice due date?

Yes. Add the due date, share the invoice link and use the recorded status to support payment follow-up.
